Let’s get to know Ms. Kiunna Sims, a shining star in our MIMS Kindergarten team! Ms. Sims is not just a teacher, she’s a passionate educator who brings a wealth of knowledge to her role, making her an important part of our school community.

A proud University of Houston alumna, Ms. Sims holds a Bachelor of Science in Teaching & Learning, with a minor in Dance. Her journey at MIMS started three years ago as a student teacher in third grade. Since then, she has gracefully transitioned to teaching Kindergarten, demonstrating her versatility and enthusiasm.

But her contributions don’t stop at the classroom door. Ms. Sims also serves as the Director of the Dragonettes Dance Team, a role that allows her to share her love for dance and showcase her leadership skills.

When she’s not teaching or leading the dance team, Ms. Sims enjoys dancing, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Her dedication to her students and her passion for education are truly inspiring. We’re so grateful to have such a talented and caring teacher as part of the MIMS family.
