Welcome to our Back to School page! We will update this page throughout the summer with important back-to-school resources and information. Summer Events

MIMS PTO will be hosting summer playdates for new and returning families. Subscribe to the calendar for more future events.

August 19, 9 am - 11 am: All grades
MIMS Spark Park. Siblings invited.

August 24: Meet and Greet! 2 to 4 pm (PTO Hour 1-2 pm)

Parents and students are welcome to visit MIMS to find out classroom assignments, meet their teacher(s), and visit classrooms. You will also be able to meet other families, learn about our PTO during PTO Hour from 1-2 pm, pick up car rider and walker passes and school spirit wear, and drop off your child’s school supplies!

August 28: First Day of School

August 28: Boohoo/Woohoo! 8:30 to 9:30 am

Parents, come join the MIMS PTO for our first day of class Boohoo/Woohoo event! We’ll be at Tom N Tom's Coffee: 5353 W Alabama Street, Suite 107, Houston, TX 77056. Call in your order: 713-497-5655.

September 1: PTO General Meeting at 9 am

Join us in the cafeteria for our first PTO General Meeting of the 2023-2024 school year!

After School program 2023-2024 (asp)

MIMS offers Morning Care, Extended Day and Enrichment Classes offered by HISD Approved Vendors. Pricing for Morning Care and Extended Day is listed on schoolpay. Registration is available August 7.

A tuition-based after-school program offering Extended Day for PK through 8th Grade students from 3:50 pm - 6:30 pm, with several options available, as well as HISD Approved Vendor Classes. The Extended Day Options, staffed by HISD Employees are: Full Time 3:50-6:30 pm; Half Time 3:50-5:30 pm; Occasional 3:50-6:30 pm (sold in increments of 5 Days/Units) or Bridge Extended Day on a day you register for solely a 2nd hour Enrichment Class. Enrichment classes are offered by HISD Approved Vendors each semester for a separate cost. Both Extended Day and Enrichment Classes will be available for purchase beginning August 7.
