The Mid-Autumn Festival is the most celebrated event in Chinese culture next to Chinese New Year. Under the fullest moon of the year, the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is rich in tradition and folklore, celebrates the gathering of family and friends as well as the bountiful harvest. Also known as the Moon Festival or the Moon Cake Festival, it is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month in the traditional East Asian lunar calendar and focuses on the spirit of gratitude.

MIMS hosts a Mid-Autumn Festival every year as part of the tradition, and this year, we will be hosting a Night Market that features food, games, and a cultural performance.

The MIMS PTO invites our students, families, neighbors, and friends to celebrate a fun evening of festivities.
